Is It Legal To Place Your Free Hand On The Table While Striking The Ball On Table Tennis?

I have an opponent who places his free hand on the table to reach for the ball. I want to know if this is legal.

  1. This is not legal, stated by ITTF. You can go the website for more guidelines :D
