i am not a tennis player but took lessons as a kid but i don’t understand why there is a big diff of play in the variety of surfaces.

I am curious how much $ this coach makes: she is the boys tennis coach at a Catholic high school (college prep school in suburbs of Chicago). She is 40 years old and used to play tennis in college.
She is not a teacher at the school–she is just the tennis coach.

well they are mostly the same (Technology)but there are a few different things
1)the head size-the head range is about 90-115.
the smaller the head size the more control you get and less power(you need your own power).the bigger the head size the more power you get but with less control.
2)height of the racket-the heavier racket [...]
